Yalova Ro-Ro Terminal, the first port investment of Ekol, started its operations in 2017.
Located in Yalova, Turkey, Yalova Ro-Ro Terminal is a major logistics center that combines road and sea transportation. The terminal is specifically designed for Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping, a method where vehicles are directly loaded onto and unloaded from vessels, and is widely preferred in the logistics and trade sectors.
The commissioning of Yalova Ro-Ro Terminal has helped ease Istanbul’s traffic congestion, reduce transportation density, and achieve environmental savings. With export sailings from the terminal, fast and efficient connections to Europe have been established, particularly with the Port of Sète in France. While saving both time and cost, the terminal also aims to reduce CO₂ emissions and environmental impacts. Its proximity to major industrial zones such as Gebze, Bursa, and İzmit contributes significantly to the regional economy.
Yalova Ro-Ro Terminal mainly works with international transport companies, logistics providers, and carriers. It plays a critical role in Turkey’s import and export traffic, especially in trade with Europe.
